Signed tree heads are submitted to OpenTimestamps and the proofs strengthen as Bitcoin confirms them. The shipped verifier checks an anchor with no call to us. A record sealed minutes ago correctly reports that it is not anchored yet: every record is anchored eventually, and the receipt always says which state it is in.

The public log publishes signed tree heads and answers both proof types. A consistency proof shows that a later tree is an append-only extension of an earlier one, so nothing was rewritten in between, and anyone can ask for it.

A box authenticates before reading a request body, so unauthenticated traffic costs it almost nothing. Rejected events are kept in a bounded per-environment window and expire, so bad traffic cannot fill a disk, and nothing rejected enters the evidence chain.
